ELSA FIRE Doors

2 Hour – 4 Hour Fire Rated Metal Doors

Fire check doors are manufactured from high-grade, tested materials using heat-activated sealing systems, fire-resistant compounds, and protective surface coatings to achieve “Total Protection” against both horizontal and vertical fire conditions.

Recommendations for Use of Fire Doors

  1. Available in single shutter, double shutter, single swing, double swing, and sliding configurations. Fire doors are lighter in weight.
  2. Fire doors are manufactured using special techniques employing high-grade tested materials, heat-activated sealing compounds, fire-resistant compounds, and surface coatings to achieve “Total Protection” against both horizontal and vertical fire conditions.
  3. Fire doors consist of properly designed steel or galvanized iron door frames. Fire Rated Hinged Door (Metallic, Insulated) assemblies satisfy fire resistance performance requirements of 120 minutes as per Indian Standards.
  4. Under fire conditions, heat-activated intumescent (swelling) seals create positive pressure in the gaps between the frame and shutters. This eliminates distortion and prevents Integrity Failure.
  5. Fire check doors are ready to install and provided with a fully powder-coated finish that is acid, alkali, weather, and stain resistant. This coating is extremely durable and provides twice the life compared to conventional enamel paints or shellac polish.
  6. In high-rise buildings, fire doors should open outwards toward escape routes for safe evacuation. To maintain compartment layout, fire doors are provided with self-closing devices.
  7. Proper installation is essential. Gaps between the frame and shutters must be uniform and within specified limits. Installation can be done by the company or by the customer using the provided instructions.
